School Safety
We want to reassure our community, staff, and families that we take any and all threats or harm to student and staff safety seriously, and any information we receive is acted upon immediately. We have the full partnership and cooperation of the Waverly Police Department. We do not dismiss student, parent or community safety concerns. In many cases, those making threats or harm are subject to legal consequences in addition to school discipline. In instances involving students or staff members, we are not able to publicly disclose consequences or outcomes of these investigations due to student record and privacy laws.
Please continue to report any concerns through the appropriate channels including notifying the school administration, reporting to the police department, or utilizing the Safe2Help (https://www.safe2helpil.com/) platform. Community vigilance is an essential tool to keep our schools safe. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we address these urgent and sensitive matters.
