About Me

 Dr. Andrea Guerrero, Superintendent

I am excited to begin the 2021-22 school year with the Waverly Community. I earned my Doctorate in Education (Ph.D.) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Educational Studies with an emphasis in Leadership and Higher Education. Prior to coming to Waverly, I served in k12 education for 20 years, as a middle school secretary, secondary teacher, and administrator. I have worked in Springfield Public Schools and Decatur Public Schools. I taught for 15 years in higher education as an both adjunct instructor in English, English as a Second Language, and Business for both Lincoln Land Community College and University of Illinois-Springfield (graduate & undergraduate levels) and an university administrator.

I am originally from Galesburg, Illinois. I have two adult children Zane (24 years) and Logan (20 years).
